The Vahaviolos Family Estate
The Vahaviolos Estate lies beneath the rugged and charming ruins of the Byzantine castle of Mystras, on a gentle slope overlooking the plain of Sparta and the valley of the Eurotas River. Spanning more than 200 hectares, the Vahaviolos Estate is home to Koutsourelia, Athenolia, Manaki, and Kalamata olive trees, grapevines, citrus trees, a small family guesthouse and a winery. With love and great personal attention, in the shadow of Mount Taygetos, all of the fruits and products of the estate are grown and matured exclusively by using organic farming methods. The estate is owned and operated by the same family that has lived and worked in Mystras for many generations.
